Max Potential athletes Ömer Uludağ and Tibet Doruk Evin competed among 16 teams at the U18 Men's Turkey Basketball Championship, organized by the Turkish Basketball Federation in Sivas from May 4 to 10, 2026. The championship proved to be the defining stage of the season for both players, and both rose above their regular-season averages when it mattered most.
Born in 2009, Tibet Doruk Evin played above his age group throughout the season, competing in U18 competition with Fenerbahçe Beko and reaching the semifinals. Averaging 17 minutes per game, he produced 7.33 points and 4.67 rebounds per game at the championship, up from his season marks of 6.74 points and 3.68 rebounds. The rebounding jump was the standout figure: a 27% improvement under tournament pressure. Tibet scored 11 points in each of the Beşiktaş and Serdivan Belediyesi matchups, closing the latter with a 15-point efficiency rating. His 13 blocked shots across the full season reflected the defensive awareness he has steadily built throughout the year.

Born in 2008, Ömer Uludağ wrapped up a 22-game season with a remarkable test of durability. Beşiktaş played 7 games in 7 days at the championship, and Ömer stepped onto the court every single day without a rest, logging nearly 29 minutes per game. On the seventh and final day, he scored 21 points with a 13-point efficiency rating against TOFAŞ, a testament to both his physical condition and mental resilience. Across the tournament, he averaged 13.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, both clearly above his season marks of 12.32 points and 5.27 rebounds. His 25-point, 22-efficiency-point performance against Galatasaray was the standout individual game of his season, delivered on the biggest stage. Over the full year, 81 total assists and a 3.68 average established him as one of the most productive playmakers in the competition. The recognition followed in April 2026, when the Turkish Basketball Federation included him in the U18 Men's National Team for the first time.

Max Potential's Basketball Branch Director Alain Digbeu and Operations Director Ozan Çiftçioğlu attended the tournament in person, watching both athletes courtside throughout the week. Digbeu paid particular attention to how the players carried themselves in high-pressure situations and performed when the stakes were highest.
With the season closed on a high note, the Max Potential team has moved directly into off-season planning. Built around strength training, detailed film study, and individual court work, the summer program is designed to ensure Ömer and Tibet enter the 2026-2027 season from a significantly higher baseline than where they started this one.
