Young Athlete Zehra Begüm Kavukcuoğlu Sets Her Sights on the Olympics!

While watching the taekwondo events at Paris 2024 and envisioning herself on that stage, our athlete Zehra Begüm continues to work toward that goal with unwavering determination. "Watching our peers compete gave us both excitement and hope," she said, adding that she is well aware this journey is a process and is confident she will take her place on that stage when the time comes. "Sometimes your thoughts can mislead you, but your instincts never lie. Yes, I will be there one day, and I'm working for that day," she declared, showcasing her motivation.

Having reshaped her career planning toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics following her European Championship triumph, our athlete views that success as a crucial stepping stone on the road to the Games. Expressing her aim to win a gold medal at the upcoming Senior Turkish Championship, she stated her desire to represent her country in 2028 by steadily accumulating points without losing momentum. She emphasized that the support of the Max Potential family has made everything easier in terms of nutrition and mental performance throughout this process.

Noting that she was inspired by national athlete Nur Tatar when she first took up taekwondo, our athlete expressed how honored she feels to now train alongside her. "At the beginning, I didn't fully grasp the process, but now working with her is incredibly valuable to me," she said. She also mentioned that she encourages young people around her to try taekwondo and particularly recommends the sport to fellow women for building self-confidence and self-defense skills.

Training twice a day during intense competition periods, our athlete stressed the importance of discipline: "Success is not an intellectual dialogue — it is a disciplined action," she said, citing her coach's words as a guiding principle. She noted that she keeps up with this demanding pace through a well-structured program and manages to stay focused on her goals.

Describing the day she became World Champion as one of the most unforgettable moments of her sporting career, our athlete said, "Representing our country on that stage, running with our flag, and having our national anthem heard by the entire world was an immense honor for me." She emphasized that this moment was merely the beginning and that she continues to work toward many more achievements.

As the Max Potential family, we wish our athlete every success on the road to this tremendous goal. Here's to celebrating many more victories together!
